Character Name: Richard Gecko
Species: garden variety human
Extra-human/abnormal abilities, if any?: none
Let me tell you what low profile is not! Low profile is not taking girls hostage! It is not shooting police officers! IT IS NOT SETTING FIRE TO A BUILDING!
Bitch, bitch, bitch...( Read more... )Psychology1. Is it okay for your character's thoughts to be read/their mind to be probed?Have at it if your muse can! Just be aware that Richie won't be amused and will probably take it personally
2. Is it okay for any of your character’s intense/distressing memories to be seen/heard/read in this situation?Again, if you CAN, go for it! Although I wouldn't wish his particular brand on my worst enemy; they're kind of trigger-y.
3. What kind of mind does your character have? Are they disturbed at all? Are their thoughts ordered or jumbled?Richie's head is one big jumbled stream of consciousness; Richie doesn't think logically or in any kind of orderly fashion, his mind's kind of a hot mess that would probably make you want to hurl if you tried to follow it too closely. The closest approximation would be like walking through one of those funhouse mirror mazes with the PA cranked to 11 and this really weird guy yelling at you constantly; you're never entirely sure where you are or what you're doing because it's impossible to focus on anything for any amount of time. It's kind of a miracle he functions as well as he does, really.
4. Is it okay for your character’s emotions to be sensed?Sure!
5. Does your character have a weak or strong mind? Are they susceptible to influence or hypnotism?Weeeeeakkkkk. So.Weak. He is SUCH a Beta, he's way too easily influenced by mental abilities. He'll try to fight it and everything, but. He's got so many things going on in his head as it is that he'll probably just think it's business as usual until it's too late.
6. Does your character have supernatural/mental fortification against mind-reading or telepathic communication?Nope! See above; his mind is waaaaay too easily hackable for his own good.
7. In the case of characters who are extra-sentient/psychic and can just 'know' things about people, can the muns of these characters use the powers of Wikipedia to get information about your character?Sure! Although if it's anything pre-movie or between the lines just consult the bio on the journal or ask me and I'll fill you in on what you want/need to know, there's a lot of headcanon-y stuff going on.
8. If so, is there anything that should absolutely never ever be brought up?Nope! Early childhood tends to make him a little anxious but he's mostly blocked it out so he'll just shut down and say nothing helpful. Mentioning his Issues gets him cranky and on the offensive so it may not be in your muse's best interests, but give me a heads up first so we can work things out and you're more than welcome to poke at them anyway.
9. Anything that should absolutely be brought up?Ehhh nothing specific comes to mind?
10. Will thoughts in the narration be up for grabs? If so, how will you indicate these? Italics/strikes/something else?If your muse can hear them, feel free to use them. I'll probably throw them in italics for convenience, but if the narration sounds like it's a thought process feel free to snag that too.
11. Does your character have any fears/phobias that you wouldn't mind being exploited? Ones that you'd like to NOT be exploited? The main one's abandonment, but it's not so much a fear as something that makes him anxious. He has separation anxiety like nobody's business, and it USUALLY leads to horrors when it crops up. Feel free to exploit to your heart's content, just be aware of who you're dealing with and know that it PROBABLY won't go well.
Physiology1. Is it okay for your character to be affected by chemical agents? Fear toxins, for example?Yep!
2. Does your character have any unique biological difference that would affect their resistance to toxins/chemical substances?Nope!
3. Does your character have any notable genetic/supernatural/biological difference that would make their blood in any way different to a regular baseline human's (that would make them taste different if they were fed on by a vampire, for example)?Nopeeeee he's garden variety human, he'd taste just the same as the rest of them. Maybe a little "wilder" because of the crazy thing, but he's still just human.
Physical1. How okay are you with your character coming to physical harm?PSHHH. He inflicts so much on everybody around him it would be a little hypocritical of me to say "HELLS NO". So have at it! Just know that if your muse starts it he's GOING to retaliate if he can.
2. How okay are you with your character's home/possessions being targeted by bad guys (or anyone else, for that matter)?Go for it! He has nothing he really values significantly aside from his glasses and nothing "important" on his person other than those and his bit, so feel free to tear his shit up.
3. Can your character be impacted by telekinesis?Yep!
4. With regard to vampires, would your character be willing to be a donor?SOOOO UNWILLING. He hates them with a fiery passion on general principle. This may of course change in the future, but right now he is firmly against the idea.
5. If no, then how about unwilling?BAHAHA MUN SAYS GO FOR IT. But muse will hate you FOREVER, so work it out with me first please.
6. With regard to shapeshifters, are you okay with having those with this power taking the shape of your character?MORE RICHIE IS ALWAYS WELCOME. Although probably also a terrible idea.
7. If your character has any superhuman abilities, would you be okay with these being replicated by those who have the power to absorb/take on the powers of others? He doesn't, so it's irrelevant.
8. In a physical confrontation, is it okay if characters who have the power to sense/foresee/predict movements use this to their advantage against your character?Absolutely! Just as long as it's still fun; no godmodding or unfair applications please.
9. Are you willing to participate in plots where your character will sustain damage outside of a fight, such as in situations with torture, environmental hazards, or accidents?Ohhhh yes. He could probably stand some of this, honestly.
10. Is there anything about them that would stand out noticeably (things like scars, physical augmentations, illness, anomalies, etc.) if they were ever injured or otherwise examined by a doctor? Are any of these things noticeable to others without close inspection? He's got a scattering of scars that you would expect someone of his vocation to have; one on his left side where a bullet grazed him during a robbery, one that runs half the length of his right forearm from one of his first "Incidents" with one of the pets at the Home as a kid, miscellaneous healed over cuts and scrapes. Currently he's got a ragged, dime-sized hole in his left hand from where the clerk at Billy's World of Liquor shot him that's been bandaged up inexpertly with duct tape, as well as two semi-healed puncture wounds in the left side of his neck from where Satanico Pandemonium bit him.
Magics1. Can your character be influenced and tempted by magical or supernatural means?Ohhh yes. Very easily.
2. If yes, will someone with the ability be able to find this out about them, and in what areas (think the seven deadly sins) can your character be tempted?LUST. So.Badly. Also wrath. And pride.
3. Could your character be glamoured (a form of mind control employed by vampires to make humans compliant/alter their memories etc.)?Yep! It wouldn't be the first time.
4. Can your character be effected by spells of any kind, and are there any specific types to which they would be immune?Yep! Any spell of any kind, pretty much. No immunities as far as I can figure.
5. Can your character's presence be sensed by characters with the power to read auras/pick up generalized vibes from people?Yep!
6. If yes, what kind of stand-out things about your character can be sensed?Anger. Violence. Regardless of how he's acting at the moment.
7. With regard to characters that can sense danger/receive visions/predict general doom, are you okay with your character being the subject of any of this, if the occasion arises?Sure! If there's a plot where it's relevant, go for it.
Privacy3. If your character is from an earlier point in their canon than another member of your cast, what is and is not okay for your fellow castmate to spill the beans about regarding your character’s future?Ehhh nothing major I can think of. Don't mention the vampire thing, maybe?
4. With regard to characters that like to snoop, can they find anything that's been publicly said by your character through the tablets?Yep! It's all up for grabs.
5. How about privately?Provided he hasn't had his privileges taken away, private posts are between him and the people they're locked to.
6. Is there anything you'd especially like to be known about your character, for the purposes of amusement? That's not what happened?
7. Anything you especially don't?Nope!
8 Do you like threadhopping (a character not already in a thread jumping in unexpectedly to reply to a comment), and are you okay with other people threadhopping in your threads and posts?Feel free! Unless it's obviously between two people and two people only, otherwise have at it, go crazy.
8 Fourth Wall? He's technically a movie character even within his own 'Verse (thank you Tarantino for thinking this whole thing out ENTIRELY TOO MUCH), so I'll say sure, Fourth Walling is a go.
9 Restrictions?I would PREFER people who canon puncture him actually be from the main 'verse of his canon? I.E. be from
Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds, etc. It would just make his brain happier; he's having a hard enough time accepting that vampires are real, let alone that he isn't. Twice over. Not that I would think there would be a huge issue with this on the Barge anyway; the movie's unknown enough that I don't think most of the population would have seen it/heard of it anyway.
